When the school was founded much
of Winterslow was owned by the Fox family, of whom Charles James Fox, the
Statesman, is the best known member. The school itself is built on Fox land and
for this reason the image of the fox from the Fox family crest was presented to
the school for use in the 1950’s. In 1995 the school logo was up-dated to
include a Winterslow cedar tree as our tree of learning and growth, although the
fox still retains his pride of place. Each of our classes is named
after a bird which may inhabit this tree of learning.

each class have been doing.
