Reading Books- It is important that you hear your child read regularly at home. We recommend a minimum of five times a week. Please record your child's reading at home by dating and signing their record book, so we can ensure your child is receiving support with their reading.

Bug Precision Words- If your child has bug words, please help them with these alongside their reading books. Taking the time to build their accuracy with sight reading these words will have a huge positive impact on their ability to read successfully and confidently.

Spellings- Your child will be given a homework sheet every Friday to be handed in the following Monday.

Handwriting- Letter formation and initial joins are the focus for handwriting in Year Two. Each week we will upload a focus sheet for you to use at home with your child. We have also included a master sheet which you may find useful to use when supporting your child with their spellings.

Guided Reading- I have added some optional 60 second reads for you to have a look at. Please complete if  you are looking for some extra work due to your child being off awaiting a PCR etc. We have started guided reading sessions in class and your child should be familiar with the task, I have added a guide to help.
