Enrichment and cultural capital 

The Winterslow experience goes beyond our sparkly and challenging curriculum to ensure the children not only benefit from the best teaching and learning but have access to plenty of opportunities to uncover their interests and talents.   

We offer a wide range of music lessons, Key Stage drama performances, Forest School sessions, swimming lessons in our heated pool and have an exceptional reputation for our sporting prowess! 

We are fortunate to have a vast choice of incredible places to visit not far from Salisbury, whilst we also maximise what our locality has to offer, such as the Roche Court Sculpture park in Winterslow.  

Welcoming visitors to our school is always a highlight to our school day. Recent talks have included: an author visit Angela McAllister, John Glen MP, the opera and a BMX workshop!

We organise enrichment experiences for small groups of children, tailored to their interests. Some children have recently visited the Rocketship Bookshop to choose books for each class, visited our partnership farm at the Lockerley Estate to plant hedges and learn about their vision, and prepared a range of delicious cakes, biscuits and smoothies, inspiring the next budding author, farmer or chef!
