We are a Church of England School and as such RE is an important part of our curriculum offer.
As a school we aim to ensure that our children leave us prepared for the world, recognising Christianity as a global faith as well as being equipped to live their lives ‘spiritually’ and aware of the major world religions. In delivering high quality religious education, we equip our young children with the education of a range of religions and beliefs in order to foster a love and understanding of other religions and cultures from around the world. This means that they will grow up to be knowledgeable, responsible and compassionate citizens of the world
We aim for our children’s learning during RE lessons, to ensure that they are able to reflect on the natural world and human capacities and achievements. At the same time we want them to be able to look inwards on themselves to reflect on their beliefs, values, feelings, hopes, dreams and ‘aspirations’.

Below is a typical RE lesson structure. With our enquiry led curriculum, our RE lessons are also planned and delivered to foster curiosity, exploration of 'big questions' and guided learning to help children deepen their knowledge and understanding throughout a unit of work.
Alongside the curriculum offer for children, we deliver high quality Spirituality and Enrichment days to further develop their sense of belonging, spirituality and beliefs.
